Unique two-in-one tool. Great for neurologists! This is an extremely versatile tool that is perfect for pediatric neurologists– I use the white light to assess pupillary response and the UV light to look for neurocutaneous findings (particularly hypopigmented skin lesions). The white light is extremely bright in all settings (there is a “bright,” a “dull” and a “flashing” setting for both ends), so I tend to use the “dull” setting exclusively. I don’t like the flashing setting, because I do worry at times…
A Great Deal on a Useful Tool This is a very nice piece piece of hardware, especially at this single-digit price! It is all solid aluminum (plus a steel clip), with no plastic parts. It was shipped on-time and no-frills, in a bubble envelope with no instructions or other papers included – which probably helps explain its affordability.FYI: Each end unscrews, and one AAA battery goes in each end, with the + end facing out (as though it was two separate lights attached end-to-end). I like that Idea Pen Light with Two ends, Literally. 1 AA Battery for one end & 1 AA Battery for the other. I like that Idea. The White light is pretty bright for a cheap *** Pen light. The UV not so much but it is a Tiny UV (Black) light so can’t expect to much. Works fine though. Never been a Fan of the Twist to turn on End Caps so cannot give these Cheap *** Lights a 5 star. But if you like the twist on. Then you might. & I say Cheap *** with a “Wow what a great price” in mind. They are not so…
