Good enough for me, but if you want quality or power, look elsewhere I gave this two stars. I was hoping for a little more light from this. I was very disappointed when in the dark it hardly shines.I have purchased some black light crayons and paint. When I placed the colored picture directly under it, the colors popped. I am better off using my corded black light.I have bunk beds and wanted to have this mounted under the top bunk for some cool effects. I’ve owned one of these before. They’re inexpensive, and cheaply made. The lid to the battery compartment doesn’t like to screw in correctly, and the batteries are sometimes hard to get out. That said, they are inexpensive, and they serve my needs well enough (black lighting in a small case for a jewelry display), so I bought them again when the old one wouldn’t screw together anymore and had to be taped closed. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I bought this pair of rejects and they are going back today! One just won’t work, in spite of my following the instructions to open the clear case and make sure the ends are secure and in place. You can’t move them as they are soldered in place and twisted and off-center so the bulb is off-center. The second one does;t fit the AA batteries!
